Emre Meydan was born in Ankara in 1982. He lives and works in Northeim, Germany. He received his degree in Painting from Dokuz Eylul University, Fine Arts Faculty in Izmir, Turkey, and is a Meisterschüler of the University of the Arts in Bremen. He was awarded the Bremer Kunststipendium artist residency (Bremen, DE) in 2012-2013, the Werner Kühl Award (Syke, DE) in 2014 and KSN Stipendium artist residency (Northeim, DE) in 2015-2016.. Emre Meydan’s paintings depict the innerspace in a poetic approach, allowing him to extend the perspective and depth of space representation to our imaginary landscapes. His works have been exhibited worldwide in numerous galleries and institutions such as Zilberman Gallery (Istanbul, TR), Durban Art Gallery (Durban, ZA), Pera Museum (Istanbul, TR),
Weserburg Museum (Bremen, DE), Bremer Heimstiftung and Bremen parliament (Bremen, DE).
